WHO WE
ARE
- The Eagles Club was founded in 1997 to help support the
scholarship and operational expenses of the Department of Athletics
and Recreation. Guided by the University's longstanding philosophy
of service, philanthropy and a commitment to learning, Eagles Club
members have bettered the student-athlete experience every year.
Along the way, the club is proud to have helped build a level of
expectation that each program is competing in NCAA tournaments by
winning conference championships. To that end, donations may be
designated to any one of American's 16 varsity programs or to
General Athletics for department-wide initiatives.
All gifts to the Eagles Club from alumni count in your class and
reunion totals through the AU Annual Fund. Gifts from parents also
count as gifts to the Parents Fund. By making these annual fund
gifts through the Eagles Club you are emphasizing the importance of
athletics to the entire University community.
HOW TO
GIVE
Designate Your Annual Gift
- By designating your gift through the Eagles Club to a
particular sport you are instantly enrolled in our "Friends Of"
program and will receive additional updates and information on that
particular sport. Your designation allows the head coach to apply
your gift to the area of greatest importance within their program.
Our Eagles Club brochure and on-line giving process are both
tailored for you to designate your gift, if you so desire. All
donations designated to General Athletics will be applied to
athletic, academic and operational needs across the department.
Endowed Scholarships
- The Department of Athletics has several scholarships to which
donors may contribute. These endowed
scholarships are available to student-athletes
and only grow through the generosity of our donors. These
scholarships are designed to enrich and fund students' learning
opportunities associated with AU Athletics.
