Picture a diver careening head over heels toward the pool in perfect pike position. You know that moment when she senses her body is just feet from water, that instant she knows it's time to unfold and pierce the surface in a perfect vertical line? That's where Meredith Basil lives.
As the coordinator of the academic support program for student-athletes, an assistant swimming and diving coach, and a psychology PhD candidate, Basil definitely has a lot on her plate. It all seems to come together for the former AU diver in the quality that defines that critical moment just before the splash--balance.
