Conor Lanz's 2006 Cross Country Journal

As one of four seniors on the AU men's cross country team, Conor Lanz will play a valuable role in leading the team to potentially its fifth consecutive Patriot League title and third consecutive NCAA Championships appearance. Lanz returns as a top-five member of last year's squad and All-Patriot League First Team selection. His personal bests include a 3:47.36 1500 meters (approximately equivalent to a 4:05 mile) and a 14:33 5000 meter best. In addition, Lanz has been a standout in the classroom, graduating a year early with honors and is now currently enrolled in the Master's program for political science. Lanz will be giving updates throughout the season - as he did in 2005 - as the team continues to rewrite school and league history.
