#4 Kyle Borshoff earned a thrilling 3-2 victory over #3 Lance Palmer from Ohio State on Sunday at the 44th annual NWCA All-Star Classic. Borshoff is the first American University student-athlete to represent the school at the exhibition event.

Four American University student-athletes were featured in the InterMat NCAA Division I wrestling rankings after the first week of the season. Kyle Borshoff and Mike Cannon were both ranked fourth in their respective weight classes while Steve Fittery and Jasen Borshoff rank 17th and 18th, respectively.

The American University wrestling team competed this past weekend at the Clarion Open where junior Steve Fittery was victorious at 157 lbs. in his first action as an Eagle. Sophomore Thomas Williams and senior Mingo Grant both earned second-place finishes at 133 lbs. and 285 lbs. , respectively.
November 4, 2009 No. 4 Borshoff Selected to Participate in NWCA All-Star Classic
No. 4 Kyle Borshoff has been selected to participate in the 44th annual National Wrestling Coaches Association All-Star Classic on Sunday, November 22, in Fullerton, Calif. Borshoff, a 2009 NCAA All-American, will be the first student-athlete in American history to participate in the event.

June 5, 2009 Champions of the Classroom
For the second year in a row, the American University wrestling team has attained the highest GPA of all Div. I wrestling programs and has been crowned the National Wrestling Association's Champions of the Classroom. Additionally, senior Andrew Silber and junior Mike Cannon were named to the All-Academic Team.
