Video: USA Basketball at American, Part 1 – Showcase Event at Bender Arena

Last week, American University's Bender Arena hosted the USA Basketball Women's National Team for a six-day domestic training camp. Connecticut Head Coach Geno Auriemma led the squad, which featured a host of former collegiate All-Americans and current WNBA stars.

One of the many perks of hosting Team USA was the ability for American University's women's basketball team was able to interact with the squad in unprecedented fashion. AU's student-athletes were able to watch its closed-door practices, talk with the players and get a first-hand look at Team USA.

Additionally, last Sunday, Bender Arena played host to the USA Basketball National Team's showcase event, which drew approximately 1,000 fans. The following video takes you through the event and the impact it had on AU's basketball student-athletes.
