The American University field hockey team lost to top-seeded Maryland on Saturday, 6-1, in the NCAA Tournament Round of 16 in College Park, Md. Anne-Meike de Wiljes scored the Eagles lone goal in the 32nd minute on a straight shot from the top of the circle off a penalty corner.
