The American University women’s lacrosse team has announced that seniors Amanda Makoid, Alyssa Romano and Lisa Schaaf will be tri-captains for the 2010 season. Additionally, sophomore Lauren Schoenberger has been appointed associate captain of the squad.

Kelly Munroe Named Assistant Lacrosse Coach

Head Lacrosse Coach Katie Woods has announced the hiring of Kelly Munroe as the program’s new assistant coach. Munroe, a former All-American lacrosse student-athlete at Boston University and member of the U.S. Developmental National Team, will work primarily with American’s defensive unit.

14 Eagles Named to Patriot League Academic Honor Roll

14 members of the American University women’s lacrosse team have been named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, league officials announced. Seniors Whitney Kovar and Kira Sonberg each earned the award for the fourth consecutive year, while fellow senior Gina Ibello picked up her third distinction from the conference.
