Women's Soccer Announces 2017 Schedule

WASHINGTON — The American University women's soccer team will host eight games at Reeves Field as part of its 2017 schedule, as announced by head coach Anabel Hering. 

American kicks off the season in Tampa, Florida, against Stetson on Aug. 18 and South Florida on Aug. 20. 

The Eagles open the home schedule on Aug. 24 against Virginia Military Institute before a pair on the road at Virginia Commonwealth and Longwood to end the first month of play. 

In September, American will host three consecutive games at Reeves Field against George Washington (Sept. 3), Campbell (Sept. 8) and Vermont (Sept. 10). 

In Patriot League play, American will host Navy (Sept. 27), Colgate (Oct. 1 — Phil Reeves Day), Holy Cross (Oct. 14) and Army (Oct. 28 — Senior Day).  Key road games will be against Boston University on Sept. 16 and Loyola Maryland on Oct. 18. 

The Patriot League Tournament will be held at the highest seed Oct. 31 and Nov. 3 with the championship game on Nov. 5.
